Strawberry Coquette
I promise, this is not going to be another corny Valentine’s Day cocktail recipe…because we’re using strawberries, not corn…that was kinda corny, oh well… 🙂
Anyway, speaking of strawberries, while many know them for their flirtatious relationship with chocolate, this is one berry that can’t be tied down. And when it leaves its cocoa counterpart waiting alone at a table for two, the independent Strawberry skips town to reach its fullest potential in the Strawberry Coquette.

STRAWBERRY COQUETTE
The best Valentine's treat
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Vodka
- 1 oz Strawberry-Pink Peppercorn Virgin Shrub (recipe link below)
- 0.5 oz Agave Nectar
- 0.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 dash Peychaud’s Bitters
- 1 Fresh Basil Leaf
- 1 Star Anise (for garnish)
Instructions

Pour all ingredients except star anise in a cocktail shaker

Add ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds

Double strain into chilled coupe glass

Float a star anise on top of the drink
