Gigner-Aperol Greyhound Cocktail


  • 2 oz Smooth Vodka (we used Ketel One)
  • 0.5 oz Aperol
  • 0.25 oz Agave Syrup
  • 2 oz Grapefruit Juice
  • 2-3 Thyme Sprigs (for garnish)
  • 2 Burnt Grapefruit Slices (for garnish)


  • 3-4 Caramelized Ginger Candies


  1. Pour the vodka, grapefruit juice, Aperol and agave syrup in a cocktail shaker

  2. Add ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds

  3. Strain over ice in a short glass and garnish with thyme springs

  4. Caramelize ginger Candy                                                                                                                    

Recipe Notes

Grapefruit Juice – if you don’t want to squeeze the grapefruits yourself, there are plenty of stores that will juice fresh fruit right in front of you. In Santa Barbara, we get ours at Tri-County produce, and you can try your local whole foods store or farmers market.
