I know that Brandy Alexanders were a big hit on the dinner table in the 20’s when dessert cocktails were a bit more simple, and sipping on a milky nightcap was a classy way to wrap up a meal.

But with the rise of the craft cocktail, this vintage after-dinner treat has fallen out of fashion, and it has slowly turned into a forgotten classic.

However, last week we made this roasted chestnut infused milk, and I felt a Brandy Alexander renaissance was in the winds.

Mikey and I wanted to give you the gift of a delicious Christmas cocktail and we saw this to be the perfect opportunity to revive the Brandy Alexander – chestnut style.

Chock full of surprises, this chestnut spin on the classic is less sweet and more balanced than its predecessor, and I would personally fancy one of these following a heavy family feast.

Creamy, gentle, and chestnutty, this is the perfect holiday cocktail and the ultimate dessert drink to surprise your friends and family with this holiday season.                                                             Another bar quality cocktail you can make at home.
